(IsraelNN.com) Terrorists in Gaza set off an explosive device they had planted along the Gaza security fence as an Israel army vehicle patrolled near Kissufim, shortly after 8 am on Tuesday. The terrorists also fired a number of rocket-propelled grenades at Israel. The army responded with machine-gun and tank fire. No Israeli casualties were reported.
Gaza sources report one dead, apparently a farmer, in an exchange of fire between soldiers and terrorists. Two explosions were heard in Gaza City.
The attack represents the first violation of the cease-fire announced by Gaza terrorists since Israel withdrew its forces last week, at the end of Operation Cast Lead. Israeli military sources say the attack shows that Hamas does not intend to include activities against Israeli soldiers in the cease-fire agreement.
