Have you ever seen A&E's "The First 48" program on Thursday nights? It deals with the first 48 hours after a homicide. Pretty decent show. The bulk of the homicides are black on black, Hispanic on Hispanic (many illegals), drug-deals gone bad, road rage that leads to someone being shot and killed, etc. I worked in Corrections for almost 25 years, and it still amazes me how stupid these criminals are. I have to say that if I was a cop, I don't know if I'd be able to put much effort into trying to solve the murder of a drug dealer. I give them a lot of credit.
BTW, we have a good Governor and we are lucky to have him. We have a School vouchers program because of him. He and the legislature have managed to cut 387 million dollars out of the budget and Jindal says's he won't raise taxes or dip into the state's rainy day fund. He has an A+ rating from the NRA. He is a religious man and very pro life. He is pro business.
But I guess you can't please everyone.
I don't live in New Orleans. I have a good Mayor and City government. New Orleans doe's not represent the state.
