Gov. Palin is such a class act. Wish Bambi could have picked up a thing or two about class from her.

If I were younger, and had it to do all over again, I would seriously consider moving to Alaska. I think the people there will remain freer than the rest of us as the leftist grip strangles our nation.

Sarah Palin is a gift to the whole country, exemplifying in the 21st century all the virtues that helped us survive previous the centuries.

IF Palin & McCain had won the election (in spite of McCain seeming to be mostly interested in placating a MSM that hates him and all Republicans), and IF either McCain or Palin had flubbed the oath as Obama did (and, incidentally, failed to take ANY responsibility for running in ahead of Roberts at the start of it, blaming Justice Roberts entirely), we would still be hearing about it from the MSM and how STUPID, SENILE, UNEDUCATED and LOW CLASS they are. Anyone doubt it?

I am sure that Chris Matthews would have claimed that, “Vice President Palin can’t even read.” Oh, wait, he IS claiming that Palin can’t read. Nevermind.

Bump for later

And as much as I won’t be listening to Mr. Soetoro’s SOTU speeches, the only reason I’d have watched McCain’s would have been to see VP Palin sitting behind him. Could have had two women on the dais...wait...never mind, we still will...

Oh Op. IF Governor Palin had been elected and had botched the Oath of Office by running in ahead of Justice Roberts the way President (gulp)Obama did from the first, can you imagine what kind of a hissy fit the MSM would still be throwing about how STUPID Palin is? It would be their theme for the next four years. The trouble with Obama is that he probably CANNOT bring himself to FOLLOW DIRECTIONS; he has to be IN CHARGE.

bttt

...noticed when she was on Glenn Beck's show that Sarah has lost wgt. Not that it matters. Either way she looks beautiful and either way she is the de facto, and magnificent, leader of conservatives and the G.O.P.

Wow! This is why so many of us here love her so much. Fiscal and personal responsibility, development of sustainable natural resources, limited gov’t, culture of life etc. Her speech had more specifics and better ideas than all the garbage 0bama has spewed forth since he started campaining to the present.

The speech was everything 0bama’s coronation speech was not: optimistic, humorous, evocative of America’s spirit.
How I wish this it was going to be her instead of him giving the SOTU.

Everyone who thinks that she is a lightwieght should watch this and STFU.

Now if you have a nefarious agenda and have no desire to be intellectually honest you accuse a woman who wrote her own speech, read it and spoke it aloud to a captive audience and made cogent points while doing so, as illiterate. Chrissy Matthews, this does not compute. Have average people’s intelligence degenerated so much that they really believe that the governor of any US state is a moron? When I was younger and still a student I knew that there was a lot I didn’t know but one thing I knew and considered a given was that a leader of a government could read well, write coherently and speak cogently. I might not agree with him or her politically but I never doubted their intelligence and cleverness.

To all the mind-numbed Obamatrons out there in looneyland: as in sports, it is also the same in politics—if you cannot perform and execute in the public arena you will be exposed-and you will be booed off the stage. My friends, the people of Alaska or any state are not stupid; they will never vote a moron into office-a crook yes, a corrupt politiician yes, a profligate spender yes, but not a moron.

As a non American (Irish), I never thought I would ever take an almost daily interest in the affairs of the state of Alaska. There is something about Governor Sarah Palin that is strangely compelling, which I think was best captured by a recent post in the British Daily Telegraph, that she has ‘no side’ to her. That is to say she is an absolutely honest and direct person. Her state speech was well structured and, in its content, exemplied good ‘strategic thinking’, (farsighted, focus on the structural fundamentals, etc) a rare thing among most governors and presidents. She also used ‘word pictures’ and metaphors well, and her use of language was direct and accessible. Strange—I cannot listen long to most politicians (least of all Obama) without my eyes glazing over or my mind wandering. But I find myself listening to Governor Sarah Plain’s every word. Strange indeed.
