ADD Larry King to the ever-lengthening list of people who lost money with Ponz scum Bernie Madoff.
A perfectly placed source said the host of CNN's "Larry King Live" lost "over $1 million with Madoff. It was a lot of money." King's spokesman, Howard Rubenstein, declined to comment.
Meanwhile, King's not the only one in queasy health. Several sources have told Page Six that Madoff himself has serious health issues. Some have even said the former money manager has pancreatic cancer. Madoff's lawyers declined to comment.

why do all these crooks become sick all of a sudden
or
does their crime come to light when they know they dont have much time left to live
of course Larry King would never go public with this informaton but I had a real laugh when he talked about his son “wanting to be black”(ya seen the show , didn’t ya?)
It was his own personal apologetics for the race card ‘cause I think (imho) he’s probably so devasted about his minor financial investment, hey come on here, LK lost 1mil? give me abreak!!!Lary is worth more than that and he knows, it , too.
Good point! A sociopath would not confess unless the end was near and he did not have much to lose, although he had a seven billion dollar client/s who wanted out and he had no way to pay and that cornered Madoff.
Harkens back to the day they decided not to prosecute Alan Cranston for the S&L debacle because he had prostate cancer.
The news cheered him up so much that he was cured.
Judging by the long list of greedy democrat party low-lifes he swindled, Bernie Madoff may be a national hero.
He will be lucky if the cancer kills him first.
The credit crisis is what brought his ponzi scheme down. Once the major investors decided cash was king and wanted out in big enough numbers to cover their other losses, thats when the the Barack hit the fan.
My theory is they all knew the money was being laundered into politics. It was a “contribution” to the cause of electing obama
After leaving office, William Howard Taft wrote of the practice of pardoning convicts in ill-health:
When a convict is near his end, it has been the custom to send him home to die. So, after having all the surgeons in the War Dept. examine them to see that the statements made to me about them were correct, I exercised the pardoning power in their favor. Well, one of them kept his contract and died, but the other seems to be one of the healthiest men in the community today.
How will all of Larry’s ex wives feel when they find out?

I wonder to what extent greed played in investor's decisions? From what I have read, responsible organizations would not recommend Madoff because his modus operandi did not pass the smell test. For how many years did some of Madoff's investors collect 12% interest or more?
Significant.
Remember, many of Madoff's "investors" figured that he was showing such good returns because he was using insider information.
They had no problem with the notion that he was ripping off the "you and me" part of the population.

Larry King Sues Insurance Brokerage Over Sale Of $15 Million Worth Of Policies Mediabistro's TV Newser | Chris Ariens | November 3, 2007 06:04 PM
"unscrupulous insurance brokerage swindled him in connection with his sale of $15 million in personal life insurance policies." The suit charges that an "insurance company convinced him to engage in a series of 'highly complex life insurance transactions' that resulted in the purchase and flipping of insurance policies with an aggregate value of $15 million."-Huffington Post
New flipping I had not known about, or thought about--flip your house, flip a life insurance policy on "aged" celebrities. Like Howie Carr's Death Pool, but with REAL money!
I’ve suspected he was gravely ill from the start. Goes a long way to explain his actions and those of the court.
anyone his age is going to have health issues. It is par for the course, but I have my doubts as to how serious they are. He looks pretty healthy walking around town with that smirk on his face. I suspect he's fine, that his friends are planting rumors for him in an effort at getting a little sympathy or perhaps a postponement for his trial. If he plays it right he can string everyone along long enough that he really will be too old and unhealthy to prosecute.
Larry King has always been a pathological gambler.
