with foreign policy like this ww3 is just around the corner. it is unsustainable even for short periods for free people to live quietly among murderous thieves. (oops, i posted this on the wrong thread a minute ago, it makes more sense here :).
Poor Israel has to deal with this everytime we get a new liberal in office. THEY are the ones who have to suffer the lessons for our stupid POTUS.
What does the statement “surrender their rockets and assault weapons” have to do with “end rocket fire”?
You must be mistaken into thinking they mean the same thing and/or that the word of Hamas can be believed. If that was the case, the ceasefire wouldn’t have ended minutes after it started.

The UN is not a credible monitoring agency. That means you have to find somebody credible, that doesn’t mind eventually getting shot at, or just plain shot (or bombed).

How long before the Administration demands that Israel do its bidding under the threat of sanctions?
If they surrender their rockets, it would follow that they would have none to fire. This would end rocket fire.
My assumption is that Israel has taken out most of the rockets, and if no more rockets are allowed in, no more will be fired.

What's wrong with it, is that it has been tried over and over, with the PLO, Hamas and other radical Jew hating muslims. It never works and won't work this time either. They won't stop rocket attacks, they will say they will stop but they won't,but Bozo will still insist that Israel open the borders to the murderous bas****. There is nothing to be gained by trying to make a treaty of any kind with people who keep saying that the only way they will see peace is to exterminate the Jews. I guess you don't believe they mean it. I do, and so do almost all Israelis who have seen the proof of that pudding.
Let me ask you this: If Mexico, or Canada for that matter, were raining rockets on the US and continued to do so regardless of peace treaties, peace talks concessions etc. would you say "What's wrong with opening our borders to them?". I don't think you would and until any of us, including Bozo the fake President, live through what the Israelis have lived through since 1948 I don't believe we are qualified to judge them, nor does Bozo have the power, or the right, to tell them to open their borders to suicide bombers once again.
They have bent over backwards trying to appease the killers but all it gets them are more rockets and suicide bombers blowing up Jews.

It's far, far too soon.
The Palestinians MUST show that they will root out Hamas and all other extremists who have any intention of "exterminating" Israel from amongst themselves, and they must do it with extreme prejudice before you would ever open the border to them.
...and if they will not, then Israel MUST go in and do it themselves and not stop doing it until the job is complete, the terrorists and extremists are wholly destroyed, and the will of the Palestinian people to ever again support such behavior is unalterably broken.
Why would Israel open its borders to Gaza? There is no benefit whatsoever to gain from it.
