I think you’re reading in a different message than I was meaning. For the sake of the nation, I do wish him well. That he makes solid decisions, that he has clarity of thought, that he puts the nation first over other interests.
I am a realist. Conservatives put high hopes on GWB and liberals ranted doom and gloom, and look what a disappointment he turned out to be. Both sides turned out to be wrong. Now conservatives are putting doom and gloom on BHO and liberals have high hopes. See the pattern?

Sorry but that's a bunch of illogical nonsense. For obama to do well as you define it would mean that he would have to accomplish nothing that he campaigned on and achieve none of the goals that he has worked for all his life. There is no logical way that can be defined as wishing someone well.
