“I heard this morning that the Air Force One pilot is resigning today, and his last act is to fly the Bushes to their home in Dallas.”

Is that really true?

I heard that on Quinn & Rose but I'm trying to find independent confirmation.

So far, all I've discovered is an AP story posted on January 10 about his last official flight.

For Bush, it was a day of his final flight on Air Force One, the presidential jet. He will fly to Texas after Obama's inauguration most likely on the same jet but it will no longer be designated as Air Force One, which is reserved for a plane carrying the president.

Sourced. "Retiring," and last mission is to fly the then former First Family out of Oz, from Andrews. Are they going to Crawford or Dallas?
