To: The Mayor
I would suggest, Mr. Mayor, that a return to traditional conservative principals is not about to happen.

All my students know is what they hear from the media and their teachers.

The student teachers are almost always among the most liberal and soft-headed groups on campus. Their professors are always full of soft, well-meaning platitudes which, if followed, will lead directly to liberal fascism.

The media, as we know so well, are, if not scoundrels, lapdogs. They too come from some of the most liberal sections of academe.

President Obama will be putting the middle-class on his payroll. We are about to see the United States go the way of Chicago and the UK—a one-and-a-quarter party system. (When do you think the Tories in the UK will return to majority status?) Like outsiders watching Hitler, Americans will see autobahns and employment (in this case tax breaks very carefully targeted to win middle class votes) and not see that all opposition is being crushed by political correctness or bought by highly selected handouts.

Let me change Niemoller’s words.

When he seduced the leftists, I remained silent because I was not a leftist.
When he seduced the Hispanics, I remained silent because I was not a Hispanic.
When he seduced the centrists, I remained silent because I was not a centrist.
When he seduced the seniors, I remained silent because I was not a senior.
When he seduced the youth, I remained silent because I was no longer young.
When he seduced the union workers, I remained silent for I had never needed a union.
And now when I speak up, there is no one left to hear me.

Depressing but accurate observations.

I agree with alot of your statement, but think about this. The main stream media will be all over this because we are rising up against the Republican establishment, they are biting at the bit to see something like this.

The problem is, the middle class is so big and money is so tight, it can’t happen, not like that anyway.

Rather odd screen name in light of the OKC bombing, what?

Have you thought this through, or are you an erstwhile agent provocateur?

When he seduced the leftists, Hispanics, centrists, seniors, youth, union workers etc...

Well, that's exactly the problem with America. Everyone is a protected group looking out for their interests regardless of their impact on society and the commonwealth. Everyone is separated into some kind of “minority” status. How in the hell is a Hispanic a minority? Why?

These factions are then in competition for money, attention and power.

So, government has grown into a system of people that are willing to take advantage of that competition for their attention, money and power. In fact, it has become more like selling influence to the highest bidder not the special interest buying it. This is why many corrupt government officials seek public office; to get rich.

I know one personally, as soon as he got into office he purchased a 4 million dollar home. HOW? How is that possible with a public sector income?

Foreign and domestic special interests must be banded from giving money or gifts to public officials of any kind. Money is not freedom of speech. That's just the first problem.
