The income level is what drives the statistics of crime.

In general I'd agree that lower income folks probably commit most of the crime, I'm not sure however, that the crime rate for poor minorities are the same. Given a comparable level of poverty, I still think culture contributes as well.

I agree. The hip hop culture portrays promiscuity, drugs and violence in a “cool” light. Ever notice that most of the “artists” have an angry look about them? Also ever notice how when a talented young woman records a song they have a segment of the song with a “rapper” in it? Do they feel obligated to screw up their songs with rap?
