Actually, I believe the photo is part of an ad for the watch he’s wearing.

“You are correct in that lifetime politicians usually become petrified in the ways of beaurocracy .....

But there are very few examples of a celebrity who starts at the top — and suddenly is a good political leader, whether conservative or not.

Reagan at least had political experience as the union president govt. liason for the Actors Guild, and then two terms as California Governor.”

This is a ridiculous debate. It's not like there is a prodigious number of actors turned politician for your sample.

Truth is, the number of professional actors having “success” in the Senate or national government would probably be no different than most other professions, unless you prefer more lawyers out there.

I am convinced that if there was empirical evidence to disprove your position - it wouldn't matter. I have found there is a fraction of academic types here who feel compelled that they MUST take their contrarian positions out of obstinacy and don't let go no matter what.

Still a great photograph; excellent lighting, tonal quality.

Yes, perhaps you’re right.

Sonny Bono, that guy from Love Boat, and the guy from Dukes of Hazzard, Fred Thompson (or was Fred a politician before becoming an actor?).
