With all the other guns, it was legal. The problem is the Bushmaster Assault Weapon, you can only drive to the range and back.
He’s not being busted for taking guns to the airport, he’d be in trouble if he stopped at a library and got caught.
It’s not what’s stupid in your eyes, it’s what’s illegal under crazy laws that is important and at issue here.
The guns and ammo were separated, no guns were loaded, and all the guns were in LOCKED transport boxes. The "assault rifle" in question was REGISTERED per California law. It's obvious except to the asinine that the individual was trying to comply with the law.
