This post follows up on last night's NewsBusters post ("They Never Learn: CNN Withdraws Apparently Faked Video of CPR Attempt on 'Dead' Palestinian Child").
CNN has reposted a video it withdrew yesterday. That video purports to show the death and hasty burial of a cameraman's 12 year-old younger brother, one of two children allegedly killed on the roof of their home in rocket fire from an Israeli drone.
Charles Johnson of Little Green Footballs, Ed Morrissey at Hot Air, Bob Owens of Confederate Yankee, and several NB commenters yesterday all questioned the credibility of the video. Johnson, Owens, and Morrissey still believe it was staged.

I wonder if there was Free Republic in the days of Hearst if we would have had the Spanish American War.

“The video footage appeared on CNN television networks and on CNN.com for 24 hours before CNN removed the material in the belief that it had no further right to use it. CNN, standing by the video, has since reposted it. Some bloggers had cited its removal as evidence that CNN did not stand by its reporting.”
No further right to use it because the good doctor didn’t want it to be shown over and over? Uh huh. Instead of saying, “we ironed out the contractual issues and now have right of broadcast”, they pegged the re-release to “standing by the video”. They’re not even trying to sound convincing.
“Responding to accusations that the resuscitation efforts of Mashharawi’s brother appeared inauthentic, Martin said that, based on his years of reporting from Gaza, doctors often go through such efforts even with little hope that a patient can be saved.”
Doctors often go through inauthentic resuscitation efforts? Futile, perhaps, but inauthentic? And what a strange way to put it,”EVEN with little hope”. So they fake it often, even when they don’t have to because there’s no hope of resuscitation?
How strange.
I was unaware that Palestinian fallout shelters were on the roof. I believe Darwin wrote a book on just where these folks are headed. (sarc)

A perfect example of how easy it is to manipulate the news media. Particularly if the news media wants to believe what you’re peddling.
I’m new to this controversial video. But what if they were all staging the CPR on a boy that they all knew was already dead? I mean he could have already been pronounced dead and then the cameraman could have asked the Dr’s or other staff to stage the lifesaving event so he could get it on film for propaganda purposes.
It doesn’t mean the boy is any less dead, it means that they used his body for propaganda purposes.
That’s what I’m thinking. It’s easy to make propaganda films with props.
And yes, I could easily see these monsters looking at the bodies of dead children as props
Pretty sick either way, imo.
The point is not whether or how the kid died. The point is CNN AGAIN “falling” for obvious propoganda that happens, accidently I am sure, to support its biases.
News organizations do show reenacted video without labelling it as such. But then again CNN is not a news organization.
Actually, since newbusters wrote ‘Dead’, it seemed like part of their point was whether the child was really dead or not.
And yes, it’s sick either way.

abb, I dunno if you want to ping your media deathwatch list again, or do it in the other thread. The fact that this looks to be the same guy is suspicious to me.
IMHO, this is "green helmet guy" (salam daher) all over again.
He looks like the typical commie lib with his “look at me” Euro designer glasses. I wish I could punch him in the nose.
