> I don’t get what the problem would be then ?

Can you imagine what would happen once Senator Kennedy realizes that he is The Human Flame Thrower? He’d be in Heat 24x7.

"..we learned that there was a fundamental difference between the two sides."

That must have been a hell of a shock.

How do you ensure the continued “humanitarian aid’ by launching about 10,000 missiles at the nation that lets this aid get to you?

“We knew that the 1.5 million inhabitants of Gaza were being starved”

Who had total control of Gaza for the last 3 years? Think Jimmy, think.

They were given all the greenhouses that provided Israel 15% of its agricultural exports and what did they do with them…destroy them! This was a gift from Americans!

Israel bomb arm caches and it was so apparent when this war started that U Tube remove the film clips from their site.

This article is the type of drivel that perpetuates the Palestinian misery. If they were held to account for their actions and if “the Jimmys” of this world forced them to stand on their own merit or be cut off for the billion of welfare payments
Gaza would quickly become a society instead of a terrorist camp.

Why change when the UN (Useless Nations) Organization called UNWRA is at the forefront of excusing all your crimes and attacking the nation that you have victimized for the past decade. And then you have the Jimmys of this world rushing to your defense!

Hey Mr. Carter how much was this article worth. How much money was sent to your foundation / library from your Arab friends?

Well heck, of course the Gaza assault is unnessary—if you aren’t Israeli and your citizens (men, women and children) are not being rocketed on a daily basis.

I wonder what really happened to this man to make him turn against his country the way he has. Anybody have any thoughts?

I’ve hard mutterings about his not having a good experience in the Admiral Rickover Nuclear Navy, but am not aware of anything else. In any case, it appears he became very anti US military. But, in the absense of any other info it does not seem to explain his apparent disdain for anything American.

Jimmy “the dumbest president ever” Carter has had a screw come loose and can't seem to get it back in place.

In reality, Carter wants to try and rehabilitate his disastrous image by speaking up when he thinks it will score him points with the media. He waits to see what way the media wind is blowing, and then tries to inject himself into the conversation.

I think the falling apart Carter built homes is testimony enough to Carter. Remember it was Carter who started the CRA thing in 1977.

I wouldn’t piss on him if he was on fire....

Me neither, but putting him out with an ice-pick wouldn't be out of the question.

I’ve always wondered whether there might be a lot more to the tale of how he left the US Navy than we have been allowed to know. It’s said that he left b/c his father died and he (Jimmy) went home to run the family peanut farm.

But if your whole career to date was focused upon becoming a naval officer and you were just approaching the point of getting some serious responsibilities, why opt out to be a peanut farmer? Not saying people don’t change careers (I’ve done so myself), just that there may have been more there about Carter’s relations with fellow officers and Rickover, not just a sudden impulse to go home and raise peanuts.

I do “know” 2nd-hand from someone who worked for his Carter Center and now utterly despises him that he is a real nasty POS behind the scenes: arrogant, overbearing, cold and callous, egomaniacal.....

After visiting Sderot last April and seeing the serious psychological damage caused by the rockets that had fallen in that area, my wife, Rosalynn, and I declared their launching from Gaza to be inexcusable and an act of terrorism.

What, you made a declaration and your friends still didn't stop?! Shut up, Jimmy. And no, I didn't read the rest of the article. Can't imagine he didn't degenerate into some sort of "but the Palestinians are suffering so" diatribe.

Can anyone name anything supplied to the world by Gaza?

Yes! Tons upon tons of organic fruits, vegetables and flowers each year are shipped to Europe and abroad.

(Oh wait, sorry, that was back when the Gush Katif greenhouses run by Jewish settlers were still in operation before they were forcibly removed and their livelihood dismantled 3 1/2 yrs ago, my bad...)

Well, if he’s an egotist he would definitely have a problem with military life in general—particularly at his junior grade—and Rickover in particular.

It is clear that the man craves being seen as relevent again. His presidency was a complete and utter disaster.
He and Clintoon have broken the custom of ex-presidents not injecting themselves into partisan politics. Carter focuses his complaints on Pubbie Presidents so he’s clear on that.

This from the man who allowed students from Iran to hold this Country hostage for more than a year.

Maybe that was acceptable with him, but not me.

Whoa! Maybe Jimmy Carter is BHO’s father (certainly an embarrasment worth investing >$1 million to cover up. Even if they lack a genetic relationship, they appear to have “twin” personalities. This does not bode well for the Obama administration. The instant BHO demands to be given authority to manage the WH tennis court schedule, we will know for certain just how deeply we have entered the Carter II administration.

“But much more of it grew directly from the quality Carter displayed that morning in Illinois. He was speaking with gusto because he was speaking about the subject that most inspired him: not what he proposed to do, but who he was.”

“He tends to exaggerate his background (”I am a nuclear physicist”; “I directed the Head Start program in Georgia”) and to tamper with truth on small matters.”

“during his first six months in office, would personally review all requests to use the White House tennis court.”
