The past is prologue. What is it about failed similar policies that these fools don't seem to understand?
When ammo is outlawed, only outlaws will have ammo. There's a stark fact that idiots refuse to accept - in the US today, we have, as a nation, over 20,000 active gun laws on the books and, yet, not a single one of them will stop the next gun crime.
Rather than making it more difficult for law-abiding citizens to purchase guns and ammo, let's remove the restrictions altogether. When the crooks don't know who might be packing, they may be more circumspect about what crimes they decide to perpetrate.
The courts have ruled against “de facto” bans on protected rights before.
Unfortunately, leftist courts will look at the desired outcome instead of at rules and precedents.

Corrupt government is THE reason for the 2nd amendment in the first place. So, in a way, they DID envision a gov’t infested with weaselly lawyers.
AOWs are out. Shotgun rules are fairly specific. Of course, it does little to prevent someone from using them anyway.
Here's the law in NJ:
A sawed-off shotgun means any shotgun having a barrel or barrels of less than 18 inches in length measured from the breach to the muzzle, or a rifle having a barrel or barrels of less than 16 inches in length measured from the breach to the muzzle, or any firearm made from a rifle or a shotgun, whether by alteration, or otherwise, if such firearm as modified has an overall length of less than 26 inches.
The other rules about shotguns:
C. a semi-automatic shotgun that has at least 2 of the following:
1. a folding or telescoping stock;
2. a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon;
3. a fixed magazine capacity in excess of 5 rounds; and
4. an ability to accept a detachable magazine.
see, that one depends on where you’re at. most people wouldn’t call that a handgun. MI law says it is.
Founding fathers did envision the danger of lawyers. The constitution prohibited that profession. That prohibition was later removed.
Get a Class III license and you can own a sawed-off, whether it's AOW or not, and no matter what Joizy thinks. Pay your federal tax, you're good.

Look, the grabbers don't care about security or security policy. They don't care whether you're safe, or whether criminals are running amok, or whether Original Intent is being honored.
They don't care about any of that stuff.
