There is a reason he's known as Fast Eddie, and it's not because of his 100 mph jaunts down the Pennsylvania Turnpike....

I never heard him called “Fast Eddie” but it sure fits. A friend of mine had to negotiate a “campaign contribution” of $100,000 to Fast Eddie in order to arrange a dinner with him at the Gov’s mansion for a few execs. That is the norm.

If you look at his ties to the casino start up in Penna. it really smells. If one were to spend a few hours cross referencing the corporate officer names affiliated with the casino license applications as listed in the PA Department of State corporate records on the Internet with the political contributions database on line, one would have a rude awakening. The application fee is $50 million per license. The state is now running one casino as they found that they gave the license to a person affiliated with organized crime and had to revoke the license!

One of his financial advisers was run out of our county as a commissioner after he bankrupted us. He started a separate “Authority” to purchase the county owned nursing home and took the proceeds and blew them in the general fund. We not only had a huge revenue shortfall when he left, but had to pay the bond issue off he used to buy the nursing home from himself. Thus it was no surprise when Fast Eddie announced that the state was going to sell off our state turnpike to a private company for quick spending money.
