I share your concern that a ground offensive is very bad for the IDF. Remember Jenin? They hamstring the soldiers so much they become walking targets. Pray this doesn’t happen again.

I think Zahal has learned from experience. I am watching arutz 10 online (Israel televsion, all in Hebrew) - have been watching for hours ... based on the discussions with military officers that I am seeing, the past will not be repeated this time. The young Israeli soldiers are incredibly brave and motivated. By the way, the link to channel 10 is a very good antidote to the ignorant, venal, reprehensible, antisemitic, pure unadulterated garbage that is being shown on almost all non-Israeli television outlets. This morning the BBC interviewed a rastafarian-turned-muslim moron on London at his job (i.e., the daily anti-Israel demonstration/hate-fest): he told the reporter that the hamas rockets were just “reaction to the israeeeeeeli occupation” ... the deer-in-headlights “reporter” didn’t point out that gaza was evacuated by the Israelis MORE THAN THREE YEARS ago

I don’t get it either.
I talked with one of my few remaining liberal friends. We agreed not to mention politics during the election. He does not understand any of this...he says’ I don’t know who to believe.” Of course he listens to MSM and CNN. He is 31 so he was “educated” in public schools after they became liberal. He has no idea of the history of the conflict.
When I mentioned to him, we would not tolerate missles coming to our cities, he said,”but the Isarelis were starving the palestinians.” and then added, “oh, I just want everyone to consider we are all human beings.”
At that point I changed the conversation...maybe I will try to send him some “simple “ history. He may just say”Oh, its all to confusing!”
