SNIPPET: “There is something especially nauseating about the latest Middle East war scenes of worldwide Islamic protests with photos of Jews as apes, protesters (in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida of all places!) screaming about nuking Israel and putting Jews in ovens, parades of children dressed up with suicide vests and fake rockets, near constant anti-Semitic vicious sloganeering, Gaza mosques stuffed with rockets to be used against civilians all to be collated with creepy Hamas rhetoric about the annihilation of Israel. This is the world in which we now live.”
JPOST.com (AP): "SAUDI CLERIC CALLS FOR TARGETING ISRAELIS ALL OVER THE WORLD" (SNIPPET: "A Saudi Web site reported on Sunday that a popular cleric issued a fatwa urging Muslims to target Israeli interests "everywhere," to avenge the attacks on the Gaza strip. The site, Rasid, posts news about Saudi Arabia's Shiite community and said that Sheik Awadh al-Garni issued a religious edict..." (December 28, 2008, 23:07)

Gaza: Gang on rampage in Golders Green
From The Jewish Chronicle
January 2, 2009
“Gaza: Gang on rampage in Golders Green”
ARTICLE SNIPPET: “A gang of pro-Palestinian demonstrators rampaged through the heart of the Jewish community on Wednesday evening, attacking businesses and assaulting a motorist.
Police and the CST have increased patrols and security following the incidents in Golders Green, North-West London, amid concerns of further trouble during Shabbat.
The group of around 15 men had been demonstrating in support of Palestinians in Gaza but then made their way along Golders Green Road, attacking the man as he got into his car.
They attempted to gain access to a number of kosher restaurants and Jewish businesses, and at one point entered Sollys restaurant, but were thrown out by staff and diners.
Despite officers arriving in the area quickly, the gang was able to escape on the Tube.
Acting Detective Chief Superintendent Dave Tucker, acting borough commander of Barnet police, said: We were aware that the activity in Gaza was going to have an impact on antisemitism because of our very large Jewish population in Barnet.
We have liaised with the CST in advance to make sure our response is joined up.
We will not tolerate any incidents of antisemitism and will investigate any allegations robustly.”

“IDF VLOG UPDATE: Ground Forces Enter Gaza - Capt. Benjamin Rutland - 3 Jan. 2009”
January 03, 2009
BREAKING NEWS - 3 Jan. 2009 - Israel Defense Forces spokesman Capt. Benjamin Rutland announces the entrance of IDF forces into Gaza with the objective of dealing a heavy blow to Hamas’ terrorist infrastructure and rocket-launching capability.
“Rocket attacks persist despite Gaza invasion”
SNIPPET: “IDF says Hamas having difficulties manufacturing new rockets, but still has enough to continue and perhaps increase launchings in coming days”
Published: 01.04.09, 00:38 / Israel News
ARTICLE SNIPPET: “Palestinian gunmen continued to fire rockets toward Israel’s western Negev region late Saturday night even after IDF ground forces entered the Hamas-controlled territory in the framework of Operation Cast Lead.
Five rockets fired from the northern Strip landed in open areas within the Sdot Negev Regional Council’s limits, but caused no injury or damage.
“It is our estimation that the rocket fire on Israel will continue and perhaps even increase in the coming days,” a military official said, adding that while Hamas is having difficulties manufacturing new rockets, it still has some stockpiled.
A total of 12 Qassam rockets hit the Sdot Negev area on Saturday; all of them landed in open fields and caused no injuries.
Sdot Negev Regional Council head Meir Yifrach told Ynet “we support the troops and pray that the operation will succeed and that they’ll return home safely.”
Notice the numbers. France has more "angry protesters" than Turkey, which for some reason always goes un-noticed by the Turk bashers on FR.

Statement by Ehud Barak, Minister of Defence
Jump to Comments
January 3rd, 2009
Statement by the Minister of Defence, Mr. Ehud Barak:
A few hours ago, Israeli ground forces entered the Gaza Strip as part of operation Cast Lead against the Hamas terrorists and their affiliates and infrastructure in Gaza.
So far, the Israeli Defense Forces have dealt an unprecedented heavy blow to Hamas. In order to complete their mission we now launched the ground operation.
I have said all along that our military activities will widen and deepen as much as needed. Our aim is to force Hamas to stop its hostile activities against Israel and Israelis from Gaza, and to bring about a significant change in the situation in Southern part of Israel.
We have carefully weighed all our options. We are not war hungry but we shall not, I repeat we shall not allow a situation where our towns, villages and civilians are constantly targeted by Hamas. It will not be easy or short, but we are determined.
We are well aware of the humanitarian aspect and are doing and will continue to do everything possible to provide all humanitarian needs to Gaza.
While we are fighting in Gaza, we keep an open eye on the sensitive situation in our northern border. We have no aggressive intentions there. We hope the situation there will remain calm; nevertheless we are ready and alert to face any unwarranted development in that area.
We are peace seekers. We have restrained ourselves for a long time but now is the time to do what needs to be done. We are determined to afford our citizens what any citizen anywhere in the world is entitled to peace, tranquility and freedom from threats.
Thank you fanfan.

“IDF wary of Hizbullah attacks in North”
By YAAKOV KATZ
ARTICLE SNIPPET: “The army is on high alert along the northern border out of concern that Hizbullah will fire rockets - or use Palestinian proxies to do so - in response to the IDF’s escalation of its operations in Gaza.
This would open a second front for Israel as it operates against Hamas in the South.
On Saturday, Saeed Jalili, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, arrived in Syria to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip. According to media reports, Jalili said Iran and Hizbullah had reached an agreement under which the Lebanese group would launch rockets into Israel if the IDF began a ground operation in Gaza.
Two weeks ago, the Lebanese army discovered eight Katyushas ready to fire north of the southern Lebanese town of Nakoura.”
I will be praying tonight.

“For the Palestinian people death became an industry, at which women excel and so do all people on this land: the elderly excel, the Jihad fighters excel, and the children excel. Accordingly [Palestinians] created a human shield of women, children, the elderly and the Jihad fighters against the Zionist bombing machine, as if they were saying to the Zionist enemy: We desire death as you desire life.” —Hamas Legislator Fathi Hamad:
There’s the rub, Israel is fighting an enemy who wants her destroyed and the entire nation replaced by a radical Islamic state. How can you “make peace” with people who desire death?..........
