DECEMBER 31--As if being linked to one high-profile criminal case weren't enough, President-elect Barack Obama's name may soon pop up in another federal prosecution, this one involving a massive Ponzi scheme.
In addition to the Rod Blagojevich pay-for-play probe, Obama could figure in the upcoming fraud trial of Norman Hsu, the disgraced Democratic fundraiser who was charged last year with operating a $60 million pyramid scheme.
In a letter last week to U.S. District Court Judge Victor Marrero, Hsu's lawyer, Martin Cohen...noted that ...it was "inevitable" that his client's "connections" to Bill and Hillary Clinton "and other democratic notables--including perhaps the president-elect--will be introduced at trial."
Before becoming a key fundraiser for Hillary Clinton's presidential bid, Hsu co-hosted a 2005 California fundraiser for Obama's political action committee and introduced the Illinois Democrat to Marc Gorenberg, a Silicon Valley venture capitalist who later joined the Obama campaign's national finance committee. Prosecutors allege that Hsu directed his investors to donate money to specific candidates, and then reimbursed them in violation of federal campaign laws.

Hsu fly don’t bother me............

One last Christmas Gift? Please, Oh, Please, Oh, Please!! :)
Damn, this is just getting better and better.
“One last Christmas Gift? Please, Oh, Please, Oh, Please!! :)”
Are you hoping that 0bama is a Hsu-in for impeachment? :-)
This will mean nothing. Less than nothing. Hussein will never be criticized in the LameStream Media. He is the One they worship.
Expect the Whitehouse law to be full of POD’s to hold all of 0’s excess baggage.
One high profile criminal case... has everyone forgotten about Rezko?
Wasn’t Hsu on suicide watch after being found on a train?
Hsu’s lawyer is 100% brass, ain’t he? He argues that negative publicity about somebody else makes it impossible for Hsu to get a fair trial, and then the inauguration would take place during the 2nd week of the trial if it isn’t postponed...and several Obama appointees are connected to Hsu! Awww.
So we should wait ‘til some of the public furor dies down. Hey! What if another Madoff comes along in the meantime? What if things get worse instead of better? What if the public gets more stuff to be steamed about?
Maybe we should just let poor Norman go home!
Seriously, now, given some of the polls and surveys lately, showing how uninformed voters are, don’t you think it would be easy to find 12 people who never heard of Norman Hsu? Or Bernie Madoff? Sure it would.
I am sure they are all over it.
They are all over making sure that it is not published in the MSM.
Oh my, my...
In all likelihood this is a non-issue for Obama. The most that could possibly happen is that Obamas campaign would have to return the money and pay a fine.
Very remote is that his campaign manager would go to jail.
The candidates themselves are insulated from responsibility when it comes to illegal donations. All they have to do is say I was unaware that those donations were funneled through straw donors.
More "Change" You Can Believe In.
Google engages in censorship to steer public perception (it works, BTW, with the herd). Find a different search engine.
Hsusein.
Looking at the article’s comments,*O*’s Army is already marching on this one.
If the Hsu fits..............
Oh, this is too (Marc) Rich!
LOL!
If the Hsu fits...
Is there anything not dishonest about Obama?

Hsu is old news and nothing came of it when it was new news.
Besides old news never fed a hungry Wall Street Ponzi guy like Madoff.

But hey, Norman Hsu has been a bundler since at least 1995:
~~These are gonna be mighty fattening times ... PING!
Lucy, if you haven't been pinged, this may interest you:
In addition to the Rod Blagojevich pay-for-play probe, Obama could figure in the upcoming fraud trial of Norman Hsu, the disgraced Democratic fundraiser who was charged last year with operating a $60 million pyramid scheme.
Hsu was also laundering money through a Daly City family (Paw), the husband being a mailman and the wife a truant officer.
I think the MSM downplayed the Hsu story at the time because it interfered with the Republican Jack Abramoff "culture of corruption" mantra since the 2006 mid-term elections.

Thanks, Fred Nerks.
Ping.
Nice work, Calpernia.
Bump.
It never ends.
The one and the same.
I actually think the media downplayed the Norman Hsu story because he was a bundler listed in the investigation that Fred Thompson headed up back in Chinagate.

Speculatin is going on here in New Mexico that Gov. Bill Richardson may be too dirty to become Commerce Secretary. Pay for Play is the way of the world around here ...especially around Billy.
Didn’t Hsu have a medical emergency and spent a few days in a hospital after evac’d from that Amtrak train?
Also, pardon the tinfoil, but I detect a whiff of Able Danger here.
Oh yes, I remember the stories of Norman Hsu and the ‘attempted suicide’.
Yea, I agree totally with the Able Danger smell.
I still have some of the threads marked that said Chinagate led to 9/11
Boy did those threads get beat up with tin foil balls.
