Medvedev’s assertiveness troubles Putin

“The final responsibility for what happens in the country and for the important decisions taken would rest on my shoulders alone and I would not be able to share this responsibility with anyone,” Mr Medvedev told an interviewer.

For a normal president in a normal country, such a remark would have been a statement of the obvious. But to a select few, it was a “dog whistle”, a message audible only to those Mr Medvedev wanted to hear.

Look for Medvedev to have an unfortunate accident or exotic mortal illness sometime in the near future.

Let’s have a good old palace revolt or coup, as long as lots of bad guys get it.

BS to give the appearance of Medvedevs sovereignity. He is nothing but a puppet. Putin calls the shots and everyone knows it.

Medvedev has big brass ones. He is taking on Putie and it will be a DeathMatch he is sure to lose. KGB is like a mixture of a Fraternity, The Mafia, The Masons, CIA, Trial Lawyers lobby, and any large government bureaucracy, morfed into a monstrously huge organization with no laws constraining it. If you missed the Cold War days of Stalin and the Soviet Union’s brutality, you just may see an encore.
Unfortunately, that also means they will need “Glavni Vrag”, or “the main enemy” to play it’s part to justify the brutality, and that main enemy is US.
