IAF hits Islamic University targets [Israeli Navy gets in the game, too]
The Jerusalem Post / The Associated Press ^ | December 28, 2008 | Yaakov Katz

IAF aircraft bombed the Islamic University and government compound in Gaza City early Monday morning, both centers of Hamas power. Witnesses saw fire and smoke at the university, counting six separate air strikes there just after midnight.

Two laboratories in the university, which served as research and development centers for Hamas's military wing, were targeted. The development of explosives was done under the auspices of university professors.

University buildings were also used for meetings of senior Hamas officials.

The IDF said rockets and explosives were stored in the buildings.

For the first time overnight Sunday, the IDF Navy began to participate in the operations and bombed targets across the Gaza Strip. Among them were smuggling tunnels, weapons' manufacturing plants and weapon warehouses, as well as boats used by Palestinian terrorists.

Other targets were a guest palace used by the Hamas government, and the house next to Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh's home in a refugee camp next to Gaza City. He was not home, as Hamas leaders have gone into hiding.

Seven Palestinians were killed in the late night strikes, according to Israel Radio. A total of 307 Palestinians were reported to have been killed in the IDF operation.

On Sunday, Israel continued to pound the Gaza Strip, striking at 40 tunnels along the Philadelphi Corridor as the defense establishment received approval to call up thousands of reservists and considered sending ground forces deep into Gaza to hunt down and destroy Hamas infrastructure.

Forces were placed on high alert across the country as Military Intelligence warned of a Hamas "showcase" terror attack - including the possible abduction of a soldier - to avenge the massive and unprecedented bombardment of Gaza and the killing of some 307 Palestinians since Saturday.

Hamas endorsed Obama for President. Looks like Barack lost some of his supporters today.

From Wikipedia:
Islamic University of Gaza (also known as IUG, IU Gaza, or The University of Gaza) is an independent Palestinian university established in 1978 in Gaza City
In other words, it didn't exist until after the Israelis occupied Gaza in 1967.

Israel needs to go in with tanks, and let the flies come to the flypaper.

Slaughter the terrorists by provoking them into confrontation with a superior force.

Hamas can show up with AK-47 Spray and Pray. Israel responds with HE rounds.

Thousands of dead Hamas acolytes is the measure of success. I understand they have 15,000 active terrorists. Anything short of 10,000 dead ones is failure.

Get busy and get them dead. The sooner to allow peace to reign.

Apparently, the Messiah is watching the actions closely, according to AP. Frankly, after watching this nonsense since 1948, I pray that Israel wipes every Hamas, Hezbollah, jihadist off of Gaza. Sweep it clean. And forget the British press, world opinion and of all things, the UN. Any liberal who stands up for Hamas, I see where McKinney is going there, should be booted out of office. Oh, and I want to see how CAIR responds to Hamas’murderous missiles. Bet they call it holocaust against Israel. American Muslims better wake up to the fact that many of their brothers are just murderous 7th C. thugs and killers.

No, they've just been divided. Or maybe he now has a splattering of supporters. :)
