It’s amazing what our superb military professionals and their families have endured, and ultimately accomplished, in OIF. These long deployments had the risk of breaking our services - especially our great soldiers with their 15 month tours - but somehow they didn’t.
Fortunately, everyone understands the critical requirement to build a new model of deployment/dwell time that will fit our new threat environments and our increasingly modular, joint and expeditionary military.
