Turner said he saw two Pacific Gas & Electric trucks on Paiute Way, just before the blast. A PG&E spokesman is seeking more information. Neighbors near the blast told The Bee said they had heard that a Pacific Gas & Electric worker was on the scene checking out a report of a gas leak before the blast. CHP web page states that three house were destroyed. Multiple third degree burn victims. The explosion occurred during evacuation of several houses due to a natural gas leak. Evacuations an hour later are still being conducted. Local paper Sacbee.com someone claims five fatalities but I can't confirm that.

Glad you are OK. Prayers for the victims.
Just heard a report on KFBK from one of their staff on the scene. He said the structure was “basically vaporized”. I’ll be happy and surprised if there are no fatalities.
The same thing happened to some people I knew years ago. Four people killed and the concrete block house turned to rubble. It was a gas space heater in that case.
I do not like gas. My home is all electric.
I hope the reports of injuries were premature and it turns out that any injuries are only minor ones. Tough way to start Christmas holiday.
