[Forward the Light Brigade]

This is a story that needs to be told. Blacks who elected to fight for the CSA. Their memory needs to kept alive. Race was added only after the war was over.

Companies D and L of the 7th Tennessee Cavalry, C.S.A. were 5% black and is so noted in the history of the regiment. This was one of General Forrests’ and Joe Wheelers’ regiments. So much for cut and dried history.
