The CNN suits must be having myocardial infarctions.

I hope someone hides the AEDs. Let the bastids die.

When nature decides to send it. Predicting weather beyond 3-7 days is a crap shoot. There are far too many dynamics in play to be certain of weather conditions within and beyond that time frame. To assume that anyone can predict with any certainty what the weather, or climate, will be months or years in advance is ridiculous.

Lou Dobbs is a populist. Not a supporter of the free market, bitter opponent of Amnesty, like a cross between Pat Buchanan and Bill O’Reilly.

He told the truth - hope he can keep his job. Dems don’t like it when someone publicly disagree with them. He can kiss goodbye any chance of getting a grant.

My theory is that most,if not all,of the Global Warming nuts are atheists. To them God isn’t in control, and to paraphrase the Bible, they exchange belief in the Creator for belief in the creature. Thus it is humanity that rules the world in their book. Al Gore becomes the False Prophet.

The phrase “save the planet” is one of supreme arrogance. To think that turning your AC or heater down will make one bit of difference is unbelievably arrogant and stupid at the same time.

Basically being “green” seems to mean a license for ignorance in terms of energy production and economics.

Absolutely. What they're really concerned about is saving their own ignorant a$$es. They've fallen for pseudo-science and the Big Gorbasm (Gore and Gorbachev). This is the same narcissistic selfishness the Baby Boomers have perfected since the 1960s. They could not give a big rat's posterior what happens to anyone else.

Not saying I believe in manmade global warming, but the “it’s awful cold right now so global warming is wrong” statements make us look ignorant. Climatology is not the same as meteorology.

Climatology is not the same as meteorology.

We have a major ice storm hitting Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. Behind the next snow storm, which will hit this area this weekend. There is a massive thrust of a historically cold polar air mass predicted. When people without power are freezing to death in their own homes, no one gives a crap about the climatologists.

Well, howzabout: It's been getting COLDER for the last decade, I have a LOT of trouble accepting the premise of ANTHROPOGENIC CLIMATIC ALTERATION? Is that better? Especially since CO2 levels seem to have remained fairly stable since they were first measured: see THIS little gem. Pay attention to the ungraphed data especially.

THAT, is not what I am talking about. That is refuting climatology claims with climatology evidence.

But this article, and many of the comments we have on every “global warming” article have people saying that the fact it happens to be cold today in some normally warm place means “global warming” is bull. That is such a dumb argument it serves to make those who do not believe in global warming are idiots.

People need to refute claims with relevant significant evidence, not “It snowed in Vegas today”.

I happened to catch that little segment on Lou Dobbs and I was surprised there were actually two people who agreed that global warming is a hoax, (my words).

I couldn’t believe I was watching CNN.

I was watching Lou Dobbs when he said it. Lou had on two men who debunked the global warming myth. It was great.
Let's all make sure this guy keeps his job on CNN.

I always felt that it was arrogant to think that we could change the climate. We can pollute and hurt our local environment, but we are not going to have much affect on the weather compared to natural disasters like volcano eruptions. Sun spots have a more direct correlation to climate than the industrial age.

Pollution is a different matter, but it is getting a back seat to the global warming hysteria. CO2 is not pollution. It helps plants grow. They have done studies where they give plants extra CO2 and the plants are much healthier. Yet, the chicken little crowd acts like CO2 is the death of the planet.

That's what these guys said. In fact they went out of their way to say, you have to look at trends. One day of snow in Vegas does not prove anything. The other guy went back through the centuries to explain climate trends.

Man can influence local climate change — black pavement in cities is an example that can raise overnight temperatures as cooling does not occur as fast due to surfaces having to release more absorbed heat....

Agree... I suspect that much of what is being measured is influenced by some of our large cities, especially since many of the sensors put into place in might have once been in a fairly desolate area, which is now built up. When you get out into the rest of the world... things haven't changed too much. Of course, they probably weight the temp reading from cities more heavily because more people live there.
