CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C.

An illegal immigrant from Honduras, who has been deported from the United States on numerous occasions since 1989, is being held in Cumberland County on first degree murder charges.

Julio Cesar Ramos, 45, who claims he is homeless and unemployed, is charged with beating Paulette Locklear, 64, to death outside her home at 1213 Wilmington Road Tuesday afternoon, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say Locklear called 911 for help when Ramos became violent and began breaking windows in an attempt to get inside her home.

When deputies arrived at the home, they found Locklear's body. There's still no word on the cause of death. Locklear's body was sent to Chapel Hill for autopsy.

Ramos is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond.

He's scheduled to make his first court appearance Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.

NC is becoming the NJ of the South but tell me the state does have the death penalty for this piece of garbage.

If he had waited a few months he could have committed this murder after the Obama amnesty and at least spent life in prison a a legal immigrant

Just like sex offenders, pro criminal judges just keep rolling out the red carpet for illegal aliens until they kill somebody. Now he’s going to rot in jail on the public coin.

North Carolina does have the death penalty, but like most states, it rarely has the intelligence or cajones to do it. NC is becoming NJ south.

I’m sure Senator Locklear will do something to stop more illegal immigrant murders, like the one that took his daughter’s life.

What?
There’s no “Senator Locklear” in the senate registry?

Never mind.

Ping.
May God comfort this woman’s family. This never would have happened if the right people had been doing their jobs. Yes, the illegal is responsible, but so are some others who are supposed to be enforcing the law.

Isn’t the death penalty currently in limbo pending a decision on the role of doctors in the process?
