Psalm 27: 5

For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
in the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me;
He shall set me up upon a rock.

Heavenly Father,

Holy is Your Name, O Lord. We come to You this day in the Blessed Name of Jesus Christ, whose shed blood was offered as a payment for our sins, that we might have everlasting life. Father, You are the Wellspring of power, of hope, of love, and of strength. Help us to approach Your Throne of Grace with thanksgiving and praise.

Father, just as You freely give wisdom and great insight to those who seek You, so also we are confident that You withhold no good gift from our President who loves You. He has been the target of countless prayers, beseeching You at Your Holy Throne of grace, and seeking wisdom, understanding, and discernment on his behalf. And because we know that You hear and respond to the prayers of Your children, we are confident that he is rooted and grounded in Your love and in Your wisdom. We confess that Jesus Christ has been made wisdom for President Bush, for that is what Your Word tells us. May his soul magnify You, Lord, and may his spirit rejoice in His Savior. Take pleasure in our President, Lord, and beautify him with Your salvation. We are grateful for the joy and blessing of having a man of God as the leader of the Free World. We thank You for the mighty witness You have called him to be and we pray that he would gain boldness in living in the truth of the Gospel. Thank You that he acknowledges his need for the people of this nation to support him in prayer. Thank You that he proclaims You as the source of his strength. Thank You that he is Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus. We know that You will continue to provide him everything he needs for the days that lie ahead as he moves into a new phase of his life. Thank You for giving him the courage to face down evil. We confess that because our President honors and fears You, Your angels encamp around about him, and You deliver him. May Your Holy Name be blessed as a result of his testimony and example.

Father, make haste to help all our military men and women in Iraq and in other assigned areas. Confuse all those who plot evil and who plan disruptions or violence of any kind against our faithful defenders of freedom. Father, we pray for You to hasten the glorious day when our soldiers are home and Iraq is functioning independently as a free nation.

Please bless America, Lord. Forgive us of our many sins. We love this nation, founded on Your truths and established in Your love, but we do not like many things that are currently taking place. Stand beside us and let Your wisdom and truth prevail, Father, that we may be a country that puts no other gods before You. There remains a remnant that seeks You and wants You to heal us. In the Name of Jesus Christ, our King, Amen.

O WISDOM
December 17

Symbols: All-Seeing Eye and the Lamp

Come, and teach us the way of prudence.

O Wisdom, who came from the mouth of the Most High, reaching from end to end and ordering all things mightily and sweetly, Come, and teach us the way of prudence.

O Sapientia, quae ex ore Altissimi prodiisti, attingens a fine usque ad finem fortiter, suaviterque disponens omnia: veni ad docendum nos viam prudentiae.

The "all-seeing eye" represents the all-knowing and ever-present God. During the late Renaissance, the eye was pictured in a triangle with rays of light to represent the infinite holiness of the Trinity. The lamp is a symbol of wisdom taken from the parable of the wise and foolish virgins in Matthew 25.

Recommended Readings: Proverbs 8:1-12

Amen to your Prayer, and Thank you Lord for President George W. Bush for his leadership for our country, and I ask that you will be with him, and protect him from all harm. Bless him, and let him know that he is loved by many Americans.

I pray for our Troops that you will protect them from all harm, and from evil. Bless them and their families, at this special time of year.

Thank you for all Blessings, which are many. Amen.

Amen Faith,brothers and sisters.

Thank You, Lord, for this President, who has earned our respect for boldness in a time of terror. See how our warriors, that have sacrificed all for our country, love him as their Commander-in-Chief.

We pray that these warriors will stand heads high with respect for our next President, when he finishes his term in office. Let him give them the tools and support they deserve. Let them fulfill their duty and return home with all the honor and respect they have earned.

Bless our warriors and our saints that support them forever.
