Rahm Emanuel’s silence in the last few days is deafening . . . and is likely an indication that he thinks his own voice is on about 1 out of every 3 Blagojevich phone calls the Feds have tapped in the last six months — if not longer.

The on-going negotiations about the seat may well have solidified the CoS position for Elbo-Rahmbo as Zero perceived the "skills" of a consiglierie his future would require. Only after some of the first Blago-Elbo talks did 0bambi make the announcement. It conceivably could have been a "quest" on which Elbo was sent.
