To: Loud Mime

It’s my understanding that the pilot had no culpability in the crash. The fighter lost all engine power. There’s nothing the guy can do when that happens.

I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who post replies either suggesting or saying outright that the pilot has an obligation to ride the disabled aircraft into the ground. I try to respond to them in a gentle way but sometimes they are just so far off base that I just ignore them.

I don't know the specifics, but from my understanding most modern fighters are virtually uncontrollable once they've lost all power. The good ol’ days of control cables are gone, replaced by hydraulic systems that require power to operate.

God bless Mr. Yoon and the pilot. Each has his specific needs in the aftermath of this.
