I am not gleeful at all.

I am sad to see how low our nation has fallen.
I am depressed that we no longer have an honest press.
I am worried that my grandchildren will grow up thinking that this is how our government works.
I am fearful that we are losing our freedom, drip by drip.
I am anxious that we will be unprepared to defeat our enemies, foreign and domestic.

I could go on, but most of you get my drift. If there is any “glee”, it is the faint hope that somehow, as a nation, we will come to grips with the importance of ethics, honesty, character, and integrity.

I am doubtful that this will happen, however. Maybe a good night’s sleep will improve my outlook. But, I doubt that too.
