Doesn't Illinois have laws against bribery and such? What gives the Federal Government the right to interfere in this matter? (Yes, I know I'm old fashioned.)

I just heard that the "law" doesn't take effect until Jan. 1, hehehehehe. The good DIMocrat Gov. was trying to get all his apples in the cart BEFORE the law took effect!

*** Doesn't Illinois have laws against bribery and such? ***

Yes we do.
In other articles it says the Cook County States Attorney also have investigations into Blago and his cronies for corruption.

**** What gives the Federal Government the right to interfere in this matter? ****

Federal Laws were broke.

Plus, if Blago was tried on State charges in Cook County the Judge would be someone who owes his job to: the Democrat party, the Daley Machine, and/or 'The Combine', or even Blago's Father-In-Law (Dick Mell). That means even if Blago was found guilty by a jury, the Judge could set aside the verdict. Or... Blago could ask for a Bench Trial then the fix would REALLY be in with a rat controlled, corrupt, Judge.

Article IV
Section 4. The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.

Article I
Section 8. The Congress shall have power to . . .
To make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution in the government of the United States, or in any department or officer thereof.

They're actually obligated to do it. Graft is not a republican forms of government.
