MEXICO CITY — Mexico says the U.S. crackdown and economic crisis so far aren't convincing large numbers of migrants to return home.

Last month, the Mexican government said the number of people trying to sneak into the U.S. illegally has dropped 42 percent over the last two years.

And many have assumed that more and more Mexicans would give up on the American dream and return home amid job cuts in the U.S.

But Mexico's undersecretary for North American affairs says there are no signs that is happening.

Honest to God, Mexicos got cajones as big as all outdoors. They’ve got a whole government ministry devoted to helping their people violate our laws. Never crosses their minds to do anything for their own people, nope, just ship them north and let the gringos deal with them. Bloody parasites is all they are.

Let’s invite them to go back home. Of course, let’s let them know of the severe consequences should they not heed our invitation.

Not sure what their motivation is in saying that, or perhaps, what they're smoking. Numbers are way down around here, I can tell you, judging from the smaller number hanging around in town in the morning, waiting for the landscaping trucks to come by.

Down by about a third. It's a start.

12 million sounds low. Closer to 20 million.

Even if we’re in the toilet, it’s better than being in the cesspool that is Mexico!

"they give us all their rejects so that they don’t have to deal with them."

Exactly. Why should they build new prisons to house their criminals when they can just boot them across the border and let us deal with the pimps, drug dealers, car thieves and gang bangers. Whenever Mexico's 100 year old prisons get full, they just bus them all to the border and tell them if they come back, they'll be shot.

If they had a conscience they would have quit years ago because they obviously don't know how to run a company.

They're not stupid. They know Bush is their President, not ours. The systematic destruction of American sovereignty will be Bush's true legacy, and history will not judge him kindly.

None of it would be possible without the support of the US gov’t. We let any disease infested, uneducated, totally dependent and unskilled parasite wander across the border and set up shop with the complete support of the US taxpayer. Unbelievable.

Not as long as they can waddle through the supermarket buying food with their WIC cards, compliments of Uncle Sap, and their kids can eat at least two tax payer provided meals at school every day. Who needs to work?

Do the Mexicans really do that? Drive them into the USA?

I don't believe it. Even here in No CA its apparent there aren't as many illegals as there was two years ago.

Its in Mexico ruling elite's intere$t to give the impression that the status quo remains here in the US regarding Mexican diaspora.
