Austin police shoots naked man with taser

A north Austin neighborhood was in disbelief as a naked man ran the streets and jumped on cars Sunday morning.
Officers with the Austin Police Department were called to 8207 Sam Rayburn Drive at 9:46 a.m. on a complaint of a naked man destroying vehicles and jumping on cars. Police say when they arrived on scene the man was beating a car as he was standing on its roof.
A spokesman with APD concerned for his safety says they believe the man was under the influence of PCP, “Our concern is always when they’re on that kind of drug, is what’s gonna happen when he gets into custody.”

Gee, if this were on 6th street, it could have been a wardrobe malfunction during “Esther’s Follies.”
A hilarious stage show if you ever get a chance to see it. I highly recommend it.
