“DIVERSITY” IS CODE FOR BIGOTRY ( Taking "Christ" out of Christmas )
Catholic League ^ | December 4, 2008 | staff

Posted on 12/04/2008 10:32:55 AM PST by kellynla

Here is a sample of how diversity is being celebrated this December:

· Elementary school students in Plainfield, Illinois are decorating a “Holiday” tree that represents 18 countries. · A “Holiday Revelry” will be performed at the Framingham Civic League in Massachusetts; it is a “multicultural” event that includes “PAC Sword Dancers” and “traditional” Christmas songs such as “Pat-A-Pan.” · “Winter Traditions” will be celebrated at the Fort Collins Museum in Colorado. They include “Celebrations of Light” that highlight “traditions, cultures and celebrations from across the world.” · At a high school in Ocean City, Maryland, the annual “Winter Concert” this year will feature a performance entitled “Eid Mubarak,” a Muslim holiday song. · At the Comcast Center in Philadelphia there will be a huge “Multimedia Holiday Show” featuring secular songs. Religious Christmas songs are expressly prohibited. · At Missouri State University, a new school rule explicitly bans the menorah and the nativity scene from being displayed in common areas. Nonetheless, the menorah is displayed; the crèche is not. · At an architectural firm in Wichita, Kansas there will be no Christmas party. But there will be a party. The CEO says, “we call our December party a holiday party.”

Darby Herrington, a Colorado lawyer, wrote a column defending these kinds of things. According to her, “People of other religions tend to harbor some ill feelings toward all things Christmas.”

Catholic League president Bill Donohue offered his thoughts:

“Cultural fascists invoke ‘diversity’ every December as cover for neutering Christmas—they never choose some other month to practice their multicultural religion. And by the way, who are these people from other religions who hate Christmas? I never met one. It would be more accurate to say that it’s precisely the persons who make this charge who hate Christmas.”

Of course it is and it’s not limited to religion.

Hewlett Packard has a TV ad that says, preposterously, that “the holidays only come once a year”.

“People of other religions tend to harbor some ill feelings toward all things Christmas.”

Just because their religions are crap is not reason we should accomodate their 'ill feelings'.

It's long past time to stop paying attention to these anti-Christian freaks--and to stop attending events billed as "secular holiday concerts" etc.

Time to start voting with our feet.

How far we’ve come.

Back in 1994 just after the Republican takeover of Congress, Time (or Newsweek) ran Newt Gingrich on the cover with the headline “How the Gingrich Stole Christmas.”

Now, in 2009, we see who is really stealing Christmas — the multicultural fascists and their leftward supporters in education and the media.

X-mas has been going on for years. And how many times have you written that on your X-mas cards? It's just a little more aggressive and forward these days.

Christ is a very scary name for most people. You have to ask yourself why? What is so threatening that they must be rid of that influence?

Seek and you shall find.

I also make it a point not to patronize vendors that specifically avoid using the word "Christmas" in their ads when I'm shopping in December.

Thank goodness this madness hasn’t spread everywhere.

Saturday evening our Church has a float in the annual Christmas Parade sponsored by a local town and it’s Chamber of Commerce and on Monday evening the 4th and 5th grade chorus at my daughter’s public school will be putting on a Christmas Concert. And the chorus at one of the middle schools is also having their Christmas Concert that same evening -— all of the children on the Church float are involved in one or the other of those concerts, otherwise the float would have been entered into yet another town-sponsored Christmas Parade.

For want of a better word the unlearned fools have chosen “Holiday” - which is another name for “Holy Day”....

They would be better served with Winter Solstice which will bring a chill to all of us.

It is so apparent we are in the Last Days Jesus spoke about...

These are the Sign of the Times in a truly evil world...

I hope all will get them self right with the Lord because a day is coming when it will be to late for so many that are rejecting him now a days...

“Diversity” and “multiculturalism” are simply

codewords for

anti-
Judeo-Christian Western Traditional Values.

Must explain what a Jewish guy like Irving Berlin was doing Dreaming of a White Christmas.

The name of Christ reminds people that they are not living up to the standard. That they WILL DIE and exist separate from God forever, because they are actively choosing to do so.

Call me square, call me old fashioned, call me not-with-it, but I rather like playing Vivaldi’s Gloria or some Eastern Orthodox Christmas chants this time of year. I cheer when I see nativity scenes or when a Jewish household or synagogue displays a menorah to commemorate Hannukah (which the Gospels tell Jesus celebrated). When I see all this “diversity” stuff that includes everything but true Christmas, or true Hannukah for that matter, all I can say is, “aw jeeze louise, not this bupkus again!”

Luke 17:26-30

“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.

28”It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.

30”It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
