Not surprised to see Rove make the case that money was the difference. However, to get money, you have the run a candidate that excites those with money to give (in a legal context of giving). McCain wasn’t it because he lacked the ability to make a positive case for himself and his candidacy.
My guess is that he received ALOT of illegal $. People in the middle east and people in low places that wanted to further his cause.
Bingo...AGR, ‘to get money, you have the run a candidate that excites those with money to give’. I voted for but did not contribute $’s to McCain...Gov. Palin as POTUS candidate OTOH would pull many $’s.
Or a few foreign countries with money could get involved, which was the case in this election and certainly in the Clinton election.
The problem is when megalomaniac dictators like Chavez, who have lots of money, and want nothing more than to hurt this country are able to contribute.
This stuff is common in Latin America. The fact that someone who the country knew nothing about except that he said, “change”, is elected to the most powerful position of the nation, is exactly what happens in 3rd world countries. We have become a country where everything is for sale.
Lots of prayers friends. Where will you run to when you can’t provide basic needs and safety for your family?
We republicans raised an enormous amount for McCain. We probably raised more for McCain than Bush.
We can compete with a guy who raised 750 million dollars.
