He also was an outspoken gay activist, according to the article.
I would look for a jealous lover before looking for a miffed Arab in one of the Arabic classes. Or, since the article states he was dating one of the instructors, maybe both.

As the article notes, the doors to a nonfunctional elevator are supposed to be clamped shut and basically unopenable. I would certainly expect that to have been the case. So this is really strange.
But if for some reason the doors did not get clamped and locked, and if the doors then opened normally in response to a pushed button, I would guess that a person with his/her mind on getting home, might just possibly, automatically step into an empty elevator shaft before noticing that the shaft walls looked entirely different from elevator walls.
But would the door function normally, even if someone forgot to clamp them shut? It doesn't seem as if they would, does it? Answers to these questions would be very helpful in trying to determine what happened.

The account I read from the Drudge link earlier today said that the class had been canceled, but Dr. Kliman had not been informed. So, I guess it’s incorrect to say he fell down the shaft, “after class”.

This is sad news, but a gay, pro-Israel guy taking Arabic classes with Muslims is just asking for trouble. He probably should have coughed up the money for Rosetta Stone.

Why did you label the source as the San Francisco Chronicle, and then put a link to Michael Savage's website? Yes, the Savage site has the link to the Chronicle, but you should have been honest in the source of YOUR link.

Sure. People just step into empty elevator shafts all the time. The newspapres and the broadcasters are cooperating with the enemy's dhimmi. This is shameful.

It was a setup.
My guess:
One of the Arabs knew how to tweak the door so that it could be made to open like that. He made sure the class got cancelled and everyone knew but this guy. Left the message on his phone after he would have left. Didn’t call his cell. The door opened and someone got a little push.
You then disconnect the wire that opened the door and go home.
Nobody even knew where this guy was - while he was laying at the bottom of the elevator shaft all the time.
Perfect.
Why didn’t OJ think of that?
