My mother-in-law had to go in three times a week. Also diabetes.

I would say that if you are going in 3 times a day your doctor would put you on disability PDQ.

I’m honestly not trying to be flippant, but if you have a chronic illness, why is one day worse than another?

The weekend is probably staffed at a lower level or the shift is longer. Just a guess.

That’s what I was thinking as well. It’s a lot to ask of a company (and fellow workers) to accomodate a serious illness. I pay for a long term disability insurance which kicks in after 180 days. Pretty basic protection.

Also it is bad policy to have both spouse work for the same company. Now they’re both laid off.
