We assess al-Qaeda in Iraq to be responsible for this attack on the Iraqi Police and innocent civilians, said Lt. Col. Steve Stover, spokesman, MND-B and 4th Inf. Div. Along with the Iraqi Security Forces, we will not falter in our support to the Government of Iraq with a single-minded purpose of protecting the Iraqi people by hunting down those responsible and bringing them to justice.
