The former Ford CEO Jacques Nasser made it company policy that white males would not be getting any promotions in 2001.

I bought a new F250 diesel in 2001. If I'd have known that, I'd have let them find some black or hispanic or oriental or whatever to sell it to.

That said, it's been a good truck - still going strong with 170,000 miles.

Nasser doesn't make the vehicles. He stands of the shoulders of lots of white males (and others) whom he chooses to demonize in the name of political correctness. The vehicles are fine. Nasser was trash that needed to be dumped. Fortunately, others agreed with that position.

I'm a happy owner of an F150 4x4 and Mercury Mariner Hybrid. My oldest son has a 1998 Explorer. My middle son is still driving my 1994 Saturn SL2. The only car in the house that isn't getting regular use is the 1974 Porsche 914. I've put lots of $$$ into maintenance over the years. It's a nice car for summer driving. After moving to Pocatello, I no longer had access to competent factory trained mechanics nor the time to do the work myself. Thus, the 914 sits in the garage. I plan to sell it and make space for a Yamaha Road Liner. Still a "summer" vehicle, but more in line with my current interests.
