The problem with Ron Paul was his foreign policy.
I agree. I could not support an anti-war candidate while our troops were in harm's way. That said, I have long admired Dr. Paul and respected the way he stood true to conservative principles.
Exactly. And although Mike Huckabee is a social conservative, he is a fiscal big-government liberal. Plus, he’s anti-Mormon, which hurts the conservative movement, as a lot of conservative support comes from Mormons, who are social conservatives, but also big on self-reliance, a core American value.
His problem was that he was an anti-war isolationist... no thanks.
LLS
And that his message was being delivered by... Ron Paul.
“The problem with Ron Paul was his foreign policy.”
WRONG! The problem with Bush is he got us into a war that was based on the mythical WMD. Even Colin Powell stated on national TV that the US intelligence was given false information on WMD and sometimes deliberately. This has weighed heavy on Powells mind and may explain some of the reasons why he switched to being an Obama supporter.
So the foreign policy of pouring a trillion dollars into Iraq, mortgaging our nation's future, is somehow not "a problem?"
Agreed
Paul is wrong on Iraq and the threat of Islamofascism. But on the rest of foreign policy he's correct. If we had a traditional foreign policy of securing our borders and wiping out any country that attacks us, the world would be a lot safer.
“The problem with Ron Paul was his foreign policy.”
Yeah, he wanted to pull out of Iraq. So the Repubs ran McLoswer and Obama won. Obama wants to pull out of Iraq.
Let’s hear some more about Paul’s crazy foreign policy please.
