Recent posts indicate an even smaller number of attackers than I guessed. One post says there were ten, which would correspond to two boats, but I think that number must be low. I didn’t see the posts about RDX until after I said I hadn’t seen anything about satchel charges. Interesting — RDX can probably be traced to its manufacturer.

Gotta be way low,,,

10 attack-points,,,

I got a bad feelin’ bout that RDX and the hostages...

I think 50-60 attackers may be about right. The RDX and hostages are typical Jihadi tactics. It’s a good thing they didn’t get to set off the RDX. They probably were trying to do what their brethren did in Bali.

FYI: http://blog.wired.com/defense/ showing a picture of one of the attackers with a backpack over one arm.

Yes... I think we are going to learn a lot more in coming days. That area along the Pakistani coastline, south of Karachi, looks good for hiding most anything one would want to hide.

On a lighter note, now don’t get me wrong, plenty of places in the U.S. have humorous sounding names too, but northwest of Karachi I spotted: “ Ghot Yar Muhammad “.
