What kills whitetails up here? Cold? Nope. They couldn’t care less. Snow, and lots of it. And we had it last year, coupled with a very wet spring that killed a lot of early growth. The heavy snow cover stressed the herd and the messed up Spring made it easy for disease and coyotes to pick off the fawns.
