I go out to the range and start setting up when a guy sets up at the bench next to me (down wind). I just finished loading and as I was sitting down, I asked him, “Mind if I smoke?”
He gave me a puzzled look. A few seconds later he got the joke. He couldn’t see his target.

Interesting turkey tips here.

Turkey in a brown paper bag?

Peanut butter in the gravy?

Well, we have a dedicated season here. I can group sub-MOA @ 100 yds. Which is a bit of a head scratcher because I use a 3 MOA red dot. I shoot a 300 grn. Hornady HP (SST), .45 cal w/ .50 cal sabot, 130 grns Triple 7 pellets and a 209 primer. A hoot to shoot. And easy to clean.

Yeah the fellow at the range was using sabots and I wanted to ask questions but I had things I had to tend to.

His first shot was a squib load Doh!

Prolly a fouling shot. Mine likes a dirty breach and a clean bore. I'll shoot 50 grns and a POS bullet to start. Some smokers are temperamental. Mine sure is.
Punchin’ out. (Sorry I killed the thread.)

Cyas later.

There sure is a lot to learn on muzzle loading.

Hell if you hadn’t got on the thread, there wouldn’t be a thread tonight L0L.

Good on Jimmy and the care packages they send to the troops.

The Freeper Canteen at FreeRepublic.com sends out tons of stuff for the troops.

Yeah, it looks like just a bunch of people hanging out on the internet, but behind the scenes, the Canteen Gals and Guys are getting lots of stuff done for the troops
