Look Cinnamon, Joe is a blue dog Democrat on defence but on social policies he’s pure Democrat. He has said it many times. I like Joe too but what you’re asking for is never going to happen.

I’m not sure adding one more center-left politician to the GOP is a good thing.

I like Jow too. He’s a nice guy. But he’s still socially pretty liberal.

I have not, will NEVER forget the Gore/Lieberman campaign going to the courts to THROW OUT military absentee ballots in 2000. All the while he was whining “We just want to count all the votes.”

I don’t trust this men, never will.

If Lieberman had run with McCain, it would have been a bloodbath. Palin was the ONLY reason I reluctantly changed my mind and voted for McCain. Before he named her, we were just not going to vote period. There were many, many like us.

That’s my point. When Joe was campaigning with McCain, he was agreeing with everything— tax cuts, cutting government programs— he didn’t say he ONLY agreed with McCain on the war. So I saying, maybe Joe should recognize that where he’s at right now isn’t with the democrats.

I liked McCain’s pick of Palin. But I think McCain wanted to pick Joe. That’s all.

You’re right. The article says that he couldn’t stomach the attempt to throw out military votes. I don’t remember it that way. He was part and parcel in an attempt to subvert the Constitution and steal a Presidential election.

Joe Lieberman is a political chameleon who caucuses with the Democrats.

And John McCain got one in ten of the military vote...

Is that correct?? You mean 90% of our military voted for a Marxist as Commander in Chief??? Good grief!!

Actually, that’s entirely wrong. JOE LIEBERMAN is responsible for putting the kibosh on the dems tossing military ballots. Although this is a clip from the hbo recount movie, it shows a REAL clip of Joe Lieberman on Meet the Depressed saying the ballots should be counted: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLfyH4cG1o8

If the purists on FR had their way, there’d be maybe three or four Republicans in all of Congress and we wouldn’t have had a president since Reagan. But that would be okay with the purists because at least we’d only have REAL conservatives.

Joe should remain an independant.

If he switched to (R) he would be defeated in 4 years. As an independant he is set to be Senator for life!

Maybe you need to read FR’s mission statement or whatever you call it. This is a conservative board not a republican board.

I’m so disgusted with the Repubs right now. Mcain for President? Well, I held my nose and voted for that asshat and look what that got me. Hellooo President Obama.

What were you supposed to do, vote for Obama? For all the trashing President Bush has taken for not being a conservative, he did get us some tax cuts and he has been fighting the wars.

Good post for a good guy that has served his Country well.

He can disagree on issues yet still remain an honerable good person with a respectful tone. He tries to do what’s right. That’s all we can ask of elected officials.

I violated my principles by voting for that RINO and so did probably 90% of the folks here. Next election if there is no conservative to vote for I’m writing one in. I’m 100% sick of this crap.

That’s great, salesman. Then, just like the losertarians, you’ll get 100% of nothing every time. Bush also put Roberts and Alito on the SC. You have to look at the big picture.

Definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. My senators are fine (Sessions and Shelby) and my Representative too.

Maybe next time there will be a conservative candidate for President on your beloved Republican ticket? Then you can count on my vote.
