Keep missile shield out of Poland, Czech Republic, Obama warned

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has warned the President-elect Barack Obama that Moscow will respond if he pushes on with plans for a missile defence system in Europe.
Speaking at a human rights law conference in St Petersburg, Mr Putin has said the US plan for the missile defence shield is aimed at Russia's strategic potential.
Russia can only give the project an adequate response, the Prime Minister added.
Mr Putin has urged Mr Obama to drop the plan to place facilities in Poland and the Czech Republic, saying if there are no shield sites in those countries, then the question of Russia's response would also be dropped.
Mr Obama is yet to confirm whether he will continue with the plan once he becomes the US President in January.
Obama will be a wet noodle.

There is only one reason to put a “missile shield” in Eastern Europe and that is to purposely restart the “Cold War”. Anyone who supports such a project is as big an idiot as anyone who voted for the Obamination. The Russians are PARANOID, even if we have the best of intentions they will view it as a threat to them, and the idiots who came up with the plan KNOW IT. “Ike’s” Military-Industrial complex is alive and well and wants to sell expensive missile systems and they can’t do much of it if us and the Russians are all cozy.
I was waiting for this to happen, he will fold.
Then the President of Iran will be foaming at the mouth for his shot at Obama.
What about blocking Iranian missiles?

The funny thing is Obama has publicly stated he doesn’t want the missile shield. Putin’s chest beating puts Obama in a pickle since he will now look weak if he cancels the deployment, but he actually needs to cancel it to please his base.
If not I'm mistaken that is the point.
I did a little checking. We are placing our missiles in Poland, they are not “buying” them from us. Second we are giving Poland money to upgrade their military. It is a STUPID plan from the standpoint of Russian/US relations. We could have had a really good relationship with Russia had we used our head after the breakup of the USSR but that was not in the interest of the military-industrial guys. The kind of attitude I see in the responses is exactly the kind that will someday get us all toasted.

Were you, by chance, a Paul supporter? You are making nearly the identical argument that the leftists in Europe and here in the USA made against the Reagan policies. Restart the Cold War? Surely you are not that naive. Looking at the actions of Russia in the past decade I would say that it was “restarted”, if ever completely stopped, some time ago.
Stop drinking the grape Flavor Aid.
America's allies have to be strong in the face of an aggressor. Their missile defenses and national militaries must be capable of withstanding any threat from the Communists that are running Russia.
