Let’s see, if only a third of Earth’s surface is land, and two thirds is water, actual volume of water is much higher than volume of land in cubic miles, more like 25/75%.
And on that land there is about 3% equivalent land mass trapped above the water line. If that melts, it reduces itself to less than 2%, and much of that water will stay on land due to variable terrain.
That would effectively make the Oceans rise about a foot or two. (If that much)
But go ahead, make up more hype and lies to stampede the Lemmings to the edge of the cliff no matter what it takes. Now is the chance to get all that extreme environmental legislation locked in. Obama is right there with with them and will make sure it is the first thing he does as President.
(God help us!)
Excuse me, but how deep is the water? How deep is the land?
I've never heard of the "volume of land".
And on that land there is about 3% equivalent land mass trapped above the water line.
Huh?
The land has 3% of it above the water line? Then why do you call it "land"?
