Schumer: stimulus package $500-700 billion
Sen. Charles Schumer, D-NY, said Sunday that he thinks the economic stimulus package should be between $500-700 billion.
In an interview with ABC's This Week, Schumer said, "I believe we need a pretty big package here," Schumer said, adding that Congress is working on getting the economic package to president elect Barack Obama by inauguration day. "I think it has to be deep. In my view, it has to be between $500 and $700 billion dollars and that's because our economy is in serious, serious trouble."
"It's a little like having a new New Deal, but you have to do it before the Depression. Not after," Schumer added.

It's a LOT like being a marxist, huh, Chucky?
And now that you are going to have a marxist in the White House, you think you can feel free to just, sort of, do it, huh?
Well, you're wrong.

I acknowledge that it is my patriotic duty to pay taxes but I firmly believe it is government’s patriotic duty not to piss our money away like drunken sailors on shore leave.
No disrespect meant to the fine men and women of the US Navy.

piss our money away like drunken sailors on shore leave. The difference between drunken sailors and Government is that drunken sailors don't show up at your house with guns to take your money when they run out of theirs.

Instead of this extra layer where dollars get sucked off the plate before we even see the plate, why not just give everyone a real, permanent, 15% tax cut? That way we have more disposable income that we can count on and allow us to make long run changes in consumption. Congress has lost sight of the fact that it's our money in the first place...NOT theirs!

Can ,just once, we have a non lefty "journalist" on one of these morning talk shows to ask this one question:
"Senator Schumer, I thought communism had been defeated when the wall came down. Was I wrong?"

There you go - The New Deal all over again.
How do you think that Obama baby is going to create 2.5 million jobs? GOVERNMENT WORKS PROGRAMS!
Imagine, you are a degreed person who was in management. You’re laid off. Ole Obama baby will offer you a job, say driving a BULL DOZER or maybe you can be a CEMENT MIXER on some PUBLIC WORKS PROJECT. Yes, you'll have a “job” but not one that suits your ability - but ah, we will now share and share alike - they'll steal money from someone else and give it to you in your new LOWLY position.
