BERLIN – Officials say German police carried out raids in three states searching for suspected supporters of a terror cell whose plans to attack U.S. targets in Germany were foiled last year.
Federal prosecutors' spokesman Frank Wallenta says police made no arrests during Thursday's raids on the residences of several people suspected of acquiring detonators for three alleged terror plotters.

I think the Germans, Italians, Austrians and eastern Europeans like the Poles are among the only Euros with the guts to stand up to Islam. They have a lot of practices - see 1683 AD - the Battle of Vienna.

Scratch the Germans from that list. Even the French have more guts that them. The vast majority of Germans are meek, servile socialists totally consumed by state power and political correctness, global warming hysteria and rabid anti-Americanism (from left to right). The sorry excuses they call their “right wing” is merely a different flavor of statist socialist cowards. I spent a lot of time there... it’s very frustating (and also amusing) for American (conservative) spectators to look at German politics.
How about the Bavarians who are more Katolische and who may actually go to church.
You have a point about the Bavarians. They certainly are relatively the most conservative, pro-capitalist and federalist of all Germans.
I recall some article about Michael Schumacher who was from Kerpen. The european paper tried to make the area out to be a Christian extremist area of Germany because people actually attended the churches there. Kerpen is close to Belgium so I assume it is more catholic.
BTW - a new post is up on FR from the UK Telegraph how the UK Govt has unveiled sharia compliant pensions for Muslims in the UK. What were you saying about the BNP? :-)

I didn’t vote for Obama, clown. Neither did almost half of the electorate. I am fully aware of the grave threat of the Obamanation, but the point is that America’s right (not the Rinos) is viable and stands for Freedom, Life, Responsibility and Values. Europe’s “right” ranges from Socialist-lite to Neo-Fascist nutbags. That’s the difference.
