A fact sheet released this week from the U.S. State Department reported widespread fraud in the refugee program that has brought tens of thousands of people from Somalia and other African nations to the United States.
The reported fraud spurred the State Department to suspend a humanitarian program in August which was supposed to reunite African "anchor" refugees already in the states with their family members who are still overseas.
DNA testing conducted earlier this year by the government to verify blood ties between anchor refugees and their supposed family members revealed that fewer than 20 percent of those checked could confirm their biological relationships, the fact sheet stated.

Well now ain't this just dandy? After all the reassurances that the people moving here through this refugee program were legal, we hear this. Just swell.

The amazing thing is that they are admitting it.

True. It’s not like them to admit a blunder, and this is a pretty durned big one.
And right unnerving, knowing the types who live in Somalia and have been pouring into our country.

FWIW, I have seen a greater influx of Africans into Central New Jersey than Latinos over the past two years. I wonder how many have come under the refugee program?

I’d say pretty much ALL of the Africans came in through this program. They’ve brought in thousands.

"It will impact refugees nationwide who have submitted a non-fraudulent application for a parent, spouse, or minor child because they will be separated from their family indefinitely," she said.
I know many Liberian refugees. Because of this fraud, many are being held up in their reuniting with their families. In one case, the State Dept. told the wife of a guy already over here to come, but to leave the minor children alone in Ghana at the refugee camp. Meanwhile Ghana is readying to dump these people across the border. I know of a number of cases where government refugee case workers in Cote d'Ivoire sold Liberian refugee identities to Ivoirian nationals. I know of some Ivoirians who are over here for just that reason.

I find it interesting that they chose places like Ewing and East Windsor, NJ as places to settle. Seem like nice folks, but abuses at our refugee program must stop.

No. They're working mostly in hotels doing housekeeping since they're generally not well enough educated for anything other than that. The one couple I know that is actually married also happens to be the one where the father is literate and works all night in a meat packing plant and then goes to school during the day working on a degree in business.

I thought it was interesting that so many Liberians work as security guards, considering how so many of them were not even here five years ago. Parking lot attendant and cab driver are more understandable, as all you need is an operators license and a friend already employed at an agency/car company to get hired.

"In recent years, applications to the P-3 program have been overwhelmingly African -- primarily Somalis, Ethiopians and Liberians -- accounting for some 95 percent of the P-3 applications," the fact sheet from the U.S. Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration stated. FYI
Religious make up of:
Ethiopia--Christian 60.8%, Muslim 32%
Somalia--Sunni Muslim (only one listed)
Liberia--Christian 40%, Muslim 20%

Could be something along those lines.
I just don’t know what to think any more. The more we learn about this program, the harder my jaw hits the floor.
