who the hell cares? History will be the judge of President Bush. I can tell you he will be kindly judged. Obama on the other hand, what disaster! Elected on the basis of skin color.

I finally figured it out. George W. Bush was the greatest President in American history, but the American people are too dumb to realize it.

I loved how he vetoed all those spending bills and kept the budget balanced. And the Iraqis so do love the Americans as well.

I guess you're not aware that Pres. Bush DID recognize the problem, and pushed for legislation to rachet back BOTH Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in 2003 AND 2005. He was beaten back by the Democrats in the Senate, in collusion with RINOS.

Just think if he'd gotten that legislation in place. There might still have been some problems with the mortgages that were made BEFORE that time, but a large number of them were made in the 2003-2005 time frame. When the real estate market went through one of it's regular down cycles, many of those folks were caught with upside-down mortgages, and walked away from them, thus putting the pressure on the financial system.

The terror alert was not high in the first 8 months during President Bush time and not even in all the years before he became President in 2001. In fact the 9/11 terrorists came to the US in 2000 when Bill Clinton was President but no one caught them.

One day when your Bush hatred will subside you will know the great thing that President Bush did in the war on terror.

PS: I am sure you will respond by saying you do not hate President Bush.

Persistent negative spin on almost anything related to him. Comics, tv shows, etc, all about the eeeevvvillll Bush with horns. Some of the things they said about Dubya, would and will be considered an outrage is said about Obama.

Aint' THAT the truth!

“That means that Bush is now more unpopular than Richard Nixon was when he resigned from office..”

W has been blamed for a lot more than Nixon. Nixon only had Watergate. W has been blamed for every problem any American has had for the last 8 years. Lucky for the Dems, W can be blamed for everything during the next 4 years as well.

I like W. I think his image will be refurbished quickly after a dose of Obamachev-Reid-Pelosi.

And THIS is why we lost...not the party...not the canidate, notthe RINO’s......the MESS that America is now mired in.

The party in office...gets the blame.

The general American public wants calm and hope...not catastrophy after catastrophy on the news....

Every time Bush came on camera...it was to tell me bad stuff....and i like him and voted for him twice...

Bush's fault? Well, if you and the lunatic left say so I guess.

Public opinion doesn't always reflect the actual evidence presented as the OJ trial and Bush Presidency has shown.

Whiney conservatives, who felt more threatened by mexican cleaning ladies then terrorists, didn't
stand with Bush and let the Left trash him. They stayed home in the last two elections. Blame them instead of making one the best presidents of your lifetime your personal punching bag.

By that definition, Bush was asleep at the wheel on 9/11.
He had been President for 8 months by then.

Nice try. Planning was well under way for the 9/11 attacks before Bush ever entered office. The Bush team didn't get the same transition treatment that he's giving Obama; the x42 administration just dumped everything in their laps in Jan. of 2001. In addition, Jamie Gorelick had strengthened the WALL between the CIA and FBI, so there could be no sharing of info between the two groups.

No one knows if Bush’s low approval ratings are deserved or not. You have to let his policies play out. Iraq will play out before our eyes obviously and we have to really figure out how much his policies caused the current financial melt-down. this takes detached non-partisan analysis. In 20 years, we’ll have our answer. Remember, we are thoughful intelligent people on this cite. Don’t get caught up in the emotional mood of the moment.

I agree. I blame George Bush for Obama. (No pun, no joke.)

I just think he messed up the economy . . that should be obvious to all by now.

And he destroyed our Republican Party . Karl Rove, Tom DeLay, and all the others.

Iraqis love the Americans that side with them in our common struggle against terrorism. But that doesn't include all Americans, does it?

Cheney should have seen oil moving up rapidly long before it hit $145. Bush should have signed an executive order to allow drilling on U.S. lower 48 where we have 4 times the Saudis oil reserves in shale oil, coal diesel and ND oil. He should have also appointed a special prosecutor for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac when the Dems refused any oversight in F & F.

I think the moment came in 2005 when conservatives to a signficant extent found it useful to agree with liberal reactionaries on Iraq.

From there, some conservatives borrowed the Bush traitor meme on border issues to further annihilate the public persona of President.

There is no doubt in my mind that this is one our greatest Presidents ever. The ever escalating hate numbers for President Bush do nothing but endear me further to him.

If he murdered his political opponents he would be much more politically popular. Putin, Chavez, Castro, and Kim Jong Il are much more popular because they kill those who disagree.

The Bush Hate party going on in America among conservartives and liberals reactionaries is ultimately indicative of cowardice. WE are not asked to fight the war on foreign shores but we are asked to support the leader commanding that war.

WE are too afraid to do this and so we would rather surrender to the global hatred than stand with the President.

The reactionaries have gotten their wish. Obama will be the President and he most assuredly is everything that President Bush is not. The clever efforts to link the two are amusing but will not suffice. Whatever criticisms conservative reactionaries might have legitimately had with President Bush, they will now see an avalance of the problem under the Democratic Congress and now Democratic President they chose to elect by attacking President Bush.

i agree. he and cheney seem to feel that responding to criticism
is beneath them. there was noone other than tony snow (rip)
who showed any ability to deal with press. that is part of the
job. you must help control the narrative with the public!
i’m so angry with bush. he showed no leadership at all and
left us with obama.
