• Get the people so frightened that they will be willing to renounce essential liberties for perceived security (the hell with Ben Franklin)
  
• Gobble up all the illegitimate power you can while they’re cowering in fear (the hell with the Constitution)
  
• Begin wealth redistribution, corralling free speech, and demonizing all opposition
  
• Achieve complete dependence on ruling elite

And that’s just the set-up. Once the set-up’s been achieved, hell will seem a step up from life in Amerika.
